Hi and happy Sunday! It’s the end of our first week back after our post-Christmas break and it’s not been too shabby! This week involved: meetings, Sweaty Bootcamp, a trip to the cinema, a funeral visit, ecumenical prayers and a visit from the health visitor.
Highlights include: Thursday afternoon with Granny and Grandpa, a very successful hot chocolate and toast on Friday (we ran out of seats!) and a tiring but brilliant Burns Supper evening last night.
Ta-Dah moment: clearing my emails.
I felt God’s presence most when praying with people who are going through a tough time.
The challenge has been just a couple of badly timed, thoughless comments that were difficult to shake, mostly because it’s January and I’m tired.
Mum moment: working out where Sophia’s fear of Father Christmas came from, and working out with nursery a way to help ease it. And yes, she is still saying ‘no Father Christmas’ and yes, it is 21st January! Poor love, she’s really not a fan.
What Sophia said: lots of snippets from the script of the Cbeebies Robin Hood panto, including ‘acorns, my favourite’, ‘naughty plan’ and eggy weggy’. She can also say ‘boo-ful’ which is very cute.
I’m grateful for lovely colleagues, my hard-working team at church and a sunny week, in many ways.
