It’s been a full week, ending with a brilliant morning in church but I’ve got a cold so I’m having an early night.
It’s also been a hard week because we have had a family bereavement on Nathan’s side, which puts things into perspective.
I think because of that we have really enjoyed spending time woth each other. Highlights included: a new dance class called Tappy Toes with Sophia, a trip to a farm and time in the garden in the winter sun.
My ta-dah moment has been doing some long overdue cleaning and tidying.
I knew God was with me this morning when I preached, and during several difficult conversations.
Mum moment: seeing Sophia engage in the dance class. At one point there was woodland music playing and they were on a flying carpet, flying into a wood. They then got off and had an explore, and watching Sophia join in, using her imagination to find animals, eyes full of wonder, was amazing! It was so beautiful and it made me quite emotional!
What Sophia said: ‘come on Mama, cuddle on sofa!’, ‘love you too, Mummy Daddy’, ‘how dare you?’ and ‘don’t ever be in my bath again’ – to a bottle full of water she was pouring down the sink!
I’m grateful for how well my sermon went down, Hub coffee, that we survived the two storms relatively unscathed and that The Good Shepgerd have announced that they have got a new vicar!
Next week I’m looking forward to seeing my family.
