Weekly Check-in 162

Sorry, it’s been a couple of weeks since I checked in. There has been lots happening and last week I decided to blog my sermon instead.

Highlights have included swimming with our best friends and Goddaughter, another very successful hot chocolate session (we ran out of space in two rooms and had to open church to accommodate everybody!), two more fun Tappy Toes sessions and being approved as volunteers for Safe Families!

Challenge: so many ideas, so little time!

A ta-dah moment was sorting out my study. It was long overdue!

God has been on the move. I can’t be specific, but there seem to have been breakthroughs in a couple of situations I’ve been praying for.

Mum moment: when Sophia decided to try and do roly polys in front of the communion table during the eucharistic prayer. Also, when she helped set up for hot chocolate by putting soons in the sprinkle dishes, scattering flyers on the tables and getting the games out.

What Sophia said: ‘no, don’t do that’ – about many perfectly reasonable things (to me, anyway). ‘Mama, what you been?’ – when asking about my day. ‘Look, here’s the water!’ – to a teddy she was holding in the car.

Next week I’m looking forward to a night away with clergy colleagues.
