Tuesdays are starting to come around quickly! And how are we in double figures already? So welcome to Two Tuesday number 10!
It’s been a slightly better week. We’ve had a few sniffles, not helped that Sophia keeps wanting Aidan to latch onto her nose like he does Daddy’s when he’s hungry). But Nathan’s foot isn’t quite as bad, so that is an improvement.
We’ve been to Tappy Toes, the park, St Giles, a Deanery meeting about exciting potential parish changes (I couldn’t help it), and a sensory baby class. I managed a big shop on my own with Aidan, which was lovely, and I cooked tea with both of them on my own, which was far from lovely. Aidan cried the whole time, and Sophia, though out of the way and clearly entertaining herself, was horribly quiet and was taking my collection of Agatha Christie books off the shelf, it turns out.

We also went as a 4 to visit a lady who is very poorly. I was visiting her before I started my leave, but I needed to introduce her to Nathan to leave her in his excellent hands. I guess this is not what most families do on a Sunday afternoon, but there was an urgent text asking for Nathan to go and see her, and she’s always been so interested in the children, so off we went!
Milestones: I got more baby sick in my hair than ever before:

I was on my way out to pick Sophia up at the time, so I ran upstairs, changed my jumper and threw my hair up into the most stereotypical Mum-bun ever.
Nathan and Sophia produced a two course meal together! I’m not sure how much help Sophia was really, but they seemed to enjoy themselves and the roast dinner followed by apple pie was delicious!
Sophia and I spent a lovely couple of hours making a den together for the first time. Aidan napped and we had a tea party!
Other things:
It’s been odd sock day at nursery:

I’m relishing being able to give my brain some space. It’s like having a bath instead of going for a run. That being said, I really enjoyed being at the meeting with my colleagues this morning!
What Sophia said: Sophia tends to get most words right and doesn’t mis-pronounce too many things nowadays. This is great because she’s growing up, but it also makes me a bit sad. So I’ve very much enjoyed her referring to Nathan’s crutches as ‘crunches’! ‘Daddy, it’s time to get up, do you need your crunch?’.
