A very late one from me today, whoops!
So overall, we are much better after our ordeal and trip to the hospital in an ambulance! Aidan still has his cough, but it’s not as bad, and we were told it would linger, so that’s to be expected.
Other things…
Places we’ve been recently:
Toddlers, St Giles Christmas Fair, church on Sunday, Ikea and the cinema to see Wicked. All of this was with both children, somehow even the last two!
Milestones:
Aidan is definitely cooing and smiling!
According to the NHS website, newborns are babies under twelve weeks of age, so that means today is Aidan’s last day as a newborn! We spent the morning snoozing, snuggling and chatting to Granny on the phone. In the afternoon, we went to paediatric first aid training at Lullababy with Nanny. So a good day all round.
Other things:
When Aidan developed a rash over the weekend, I thought ‘oh not again!’. Thankfully it’s all cleared up. But there really is just nothing like worrying about their health.
I can’t remember if I’ve said before, but I’m finding great satisfaction in cleaning. If the house (or more accurately, any part of the house) is clean, I am happy, and if I am happy, the house is clean! I’ve no idea what this will look like when I’m back at work, but let’s not worry about that just yet.
At this point with Sophia, I was half way through my leave. It’s so delightful knowing that I’ve still got 9 months left this time. Thank you ASSF.
What Sophia said: we’ve been practising the Wicked songs for a few weeks, and it was amazing that during defying gravity, I heard her little voice! It was a very special moment for me. Even if I was holding Aidan very carefully at the time, because he had just done a poonami as the very best song of the whole show began!
She’s also learned the word ‘completely’ but she pronounces it ‘com-pleek-ly’, which is super cute.
