It’s Wednesday… awkward!
I had a KIT day thing yesterday. It involved a five hour meeting with the clergy (and Aidan) and a 2 hour ‘roadshow’ (meeting) in the evening. Nathan stayed home with the kids so it was basically a night out at this point. I went to bed shattered and completely forgot to blog!
Anyway, here’s where we’ve been this week: Toddlers, Tappy Toes, Liverpool Cathedral Tower, the Baltic Market, ASSF for worship, a coffee with a friend, Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea in nursery and a whole day meeting.
For my birthday, we went to a miniature role play village with the kids called Little Lancashire and it was brilliant! There was a post office, vetinary clinic, bike shop, ambulance, subway, supermarket, soft play and even a minature Costa! We’ve been to so many of these places but this was up there with the best, and definitely worth the drive. I never imagined I’d be this kind of Mum, but on my birthday, I just wanted to hang out with my little family and have fun!

On Saturday, we had a day in Liverpool with my Mum and Dad which involved a trip up the Cathedral tower! Nathan stayed at the bottom with Aidan, drinking coffee. We had a lot of fun looking down at the very sunny city, waving to GranGran, who told us she would be over in Chester standing by the elephant!

Milestones: Not so much a milestone, but Aidan loves long, thin batons of cucumber. Chicken continues to be a big hit, but avocado rolled in shelled hemp seeds (for better grip), he was not sure about.
What Sophia said:
S: ‘What do sharks eat?’
Me: other fish or anything meaty. Sometimes people.
S: people?
Me: hardly ever. If you stay away from them, you’ll be fine.
S: do sharks jump out of the water? I was wondering about that.
Me: No, sharks don’t jump out of the water you’re thinking of dolphins.
S (reassured): OK.
Mixing it up this week… what I said to Sophia:
‘Can you please play the recorder softly?’
5 long minutes later… ‘Can we please have a No Recorder In Mummy’s Room rule?’
5 more minutes later… ‘What I think Daddy’s church really needs is a recorder’.
More next time.
it’s no wonder you are tired sometimes – your brain has to work so hard with new thoughts. Sophia keeps your mind fully charged 🥰
