Two Tuesday 49

Heya! I’m a bit late with this one, so let’s get cracking.

We’ve been to: the park to sample their famous blue ice lollies, St Giles hall for a teddy bears picnic with some children from Sophia’s year at school, the shops, the Beyond Monet experience in Liverpool, St Giles, Cheshire Oaks, a picnic at Grandpa’s, the zoo, the Hub and the library.

It sounds a lot when put like that, but it feels like it’s been a long, slow week. Sophia has been adjusting after her birthday weekend, and we three are going to Mum and Dad’s for the weekend. As you know, packing is not my favourite thing! Hopefully this is the last lot of packing for a good couple of months though.

Anyway, one particular highlight of this week was going to the Beyond Monet exhibition in Liverpool. Monet’s paintings were projected onto the floor and walls, and they moved and twisted into each other. It’s was so beautiful and the kids loved it! At one point, there were lilypads on the floor, and Sophia was leaping across the room! If it’s ever near you, I would highly recommend it!

Milestones. We bought Sophia’s first school shoes and Aidan’s cruising shoes!

Sleep. I used to love the heat but not with children and definitely not with children at night! Aidan has found it hard to settle. Sophia is doing so much better, though.

Food. Aidan’s favourite this week was cheesey mash covered in gravy.

What Sophia said. In response to the Beyond Monet experience: ‘it’s ‘ectacular!’

Noises Aidan is making. Mama, Da, Baba, Gaga, pffft and blowing bubbles.

Coming up. It’s my Dad’s birthday this week and it’s a very special one because he’s retiring! I’m so excited to be around for the celebrations.

More next time x
