Hello and welcome to Ministry Mum Monday… with a new blog banner! And yes, I know her hair is currently a lot longer than mine! But Canva didn’t have a woman with hair any shorter, so it will have to do!

Obviously the headline for this week is the Buzz Cut Fundraiser for Bebe’s Hive! I’ll be doing a separate blog all about it, but just to say that I am so overwhelmed by everybody’s support, donations and kind words.

The week involved the usual various admin, meetings and prep, but a lot of it was given to overseeing final Buzz Cut preparations!

Ministry life was lovely, with a very special mother’s day service.

Sophia came into our room on Saturday morning and said ‘I woke up, sat on my bed and prayed for you for your haircut Mummy’ – she’s never said that before and I think she knew I was nervous!

Aidan and I often travel home from Crosby listening to the Legally Blonde the Musical soundtrack, as it is one of my favourite influencer’s current show. In the opening song, a dog comes on stage and woofs a few times. At this point, Aidan joins in with an ‘arr, arr, arr’!

Overheard by the Vicar: ‘Poppy, when you have your hair cut, will you lose your strength like Samson? I do hope so, it will mean we can all have a rest!’

This week I am especially grateful for team ASSF and team Poppy.
