Hello! It’s Easter Monday after one of the busiest Holy Weeks ever so this is not going to be long!
If you’ve been reading along with the Holy Week diaries, you’ll know that ministry life has been bonkers but great.
Mum life was trickier due to all the Mum guilt about not spending much time with S&A while they have been on their break from school and nursery. Not helped by reading the parallel blog from Two Tuesday in 2025, which sounded wonderful and therefore made me sad. Easter was my favourite part of my mat leave, and a line in the blog from this time last year is ‘how much nicer is spring when you’re not worrying about Holy Week?’ – never were truer words spoken!
Anyway, the quote of the week goes to Sophia, who was chatting to Nathan on the landing on Saturday morning and then marched into our room saying ‘He’s got another service tonight!’
Aidan is having a go at more and more words and phrases. We’ve had ‘abbid’ rabbit, ‘ee-yar’ here you are, and he’s also learned to nod his head!
Overheard by the vicar: ‘£6000 is a lot of money but you don’t suit it’. Okay, not overheard by the Vicar, said directly to the Vicar about her hair! It’s only the second negative comment I’ve had, thought, so I can definitely handle it.
Drama: literally losing my sermon before the service on Easter Day!
I’m especially grateful for team ASSF who chased me out of the door on Sunday and told me to rest. Thank you.
Coming up: some annual leave!
