So it’s Friday night at the end of a week which involved a few nights away together, in fact, the last few nights we will have away together before the baby comes.

After the services on Sunday, we mopped up those last bits of admin, changed the voicemail, set up the Out Of Office on our emails and went to bed.

On Monday morning we watched a wedding, did a big shop and finished packing the car. We took our feet off our respective gas pedals and drove away.

We went to a self catering cottage in one of our favourite parts of the world. There was a log burner, beautiful walks near by and the gorgeous town of Buxton to explore. We read books, picked a new series to binge and enjoyed the quiet.

We appreciated the big blue skies, napped and ate very well. We got away and switched off. It’s been lovely.
