Ministry Mum Monday 47

Ministry Mum Monday 47. We could also call this blog: Working Mum in the Summer Holidays Year 1 Weel 1.

Not that I’ve done a huge amount of work this week because I was supposed to be on leave. I think I did manage about 3 days without any work in the end.

Anyway, it’s been a very lovely week because Sophia, Aidan and I spent a couple of days over at my Mum and Dad’s celebrating Isabelle’s birthday! It was also Nathan’s birthday the day before and we four had a cracking day in Liverpool, taking the kids to the all you can eat meat place which we like. I also did a funeral, office admin, emails, a hospital visit, Sunday worship, and we went to Nathan’s Mum and Dad’s for lunch.

Ministry life is interesting. Like I said, I was supposed to be on leave for most of last week but I really struggled to put it down. I don’t know if it’s because we are without an adminsitrator at the moment, or because I subconsciously feel guilty for taking leave when I relied on our team so much last year when I was off… or maybe I just need to have a little word with myself and relax.

Anyway, Mum life has been such a delight. I’d have the whole summer off with them kids if I was allowed to (if I could step away from my laptop, that is!).

We’ve been in Retford for a couple of days, playing in the garden, hanging out with Granny at her new house, eating ice cream and going to the park. It was a flying visit but it was just what I needed.

Sophia is coming out with all kinds of funny things. One notable one was: ‘I know that for a fact!’ – when she was expressing an opinion!

Aidan spent lots of this week saying ‘Attee TizTiz’ when seeing, talking about or thinking about my sister!

This week I am especially grateful for my gorgeous family.

Coming up: Sophia turns 5!
