It was going so well for a few weeks! But yesterday I had a sudden heavy cold and I just needed an early night last night. So happy Tuesday!

It’s been a busy week, so maybe it’s not surprising that I came down with something. There’s the usual visits, meetings, and admin. Plus a funeral, an end of life visit, Sophia’s meet the teacher session, our 9th wedding anniversary, local clergy meeting, a visit to Holy Trinity & St Michael’s to meet their new vicar, meeting with the scouting and guiding leaders, Tappy Toes, after school hot chocolate, harvest ceilidh and harvest parade.

Ministry life has been lots of fun and lots of hard work! Harvest might be my favourite festival, you know. It’s really joyful but without the pressure that comes with Easter and Christmas.

Mum life has been good too. Despite a few coughs and sniffles, we’re all getting back into the swing of things.

Nathan’s week in 3(ish) words: Briefly on top of things…

Sophia and I got ready for bed on Sunday night watching the livestream of St Peter’s Formby harvest Evensong where Nathan was preaching. Sophia absolutely loved it and when the video finished, it rolled onto their morning communion service. Sophia wanted to watch that one as well but it was getting late. She put up some resistance and I said ‘if you’re a good girl, you can watch more communion in the morning’. Things I never thought I’d say myself saying!

Aidan is getting ever so big and is nearly ready to move up a room at nursery!

This week I am especially grateful for Grandpa who came to stay on Saturday night. He helped with the tickets and the raffle at the ceilidh, and then watched S&A during the BCP communion service in the morning!
