2022 Reading Challenge (part 2)

January 4, 2023January 4, 2023 revpoppy

The Shut Eye. Belinda Bauer. Another great book by Belinda Bauer! It's about a family whose son has gone missing and a police detective who was in charge of the case of another missing child. This was a difficult read in places, especially as I have a little one myself. But it is well written [...]

2021 Reading challenge (Part 2)

December 31, 2021December 31, 2021 revpoppy

Guess How Much I Love You. Sam McBranty, Anita Jeram. A beautiful story, which my daughter and I both loved. Definitely one to return to! The Very Hungry Caterpilla. Eric Carle. It's been a bit of a mad few months what with one thing or another, but @naythorpe is just wonderful. He's strong, faithful and caring, and a great husband, Dad, vicar and priest. He's my favourite 🌟
When we were on holiday we visited St David's Cathedral and I was very struck by this statue of Mary and Jesus. I love how he snuggles into her and that look on her face which to me says fulfillment, tiredness and strength all at once.
❄️
Mine and @naythorpe's first joint project! These will be sent off to our Goddaughter in the next week or so. Nathan did the scarf and the mittens are my knit number 13.
How long until she actually starts doing laundry?!
Another knit that went off over Christmas! I accidentally bought the wrong kind of wool for what I needed so I decided to make a face cloth instead. Knit number 12.
