I’ve had this on the whiteboard in my study for over six months. I would pray it regularly in the run up to starting at The Good Shepherd and in the first few weeks as vicar. I wanted to put the prayer somewhere I would be able to find it in the future, so I thought I would blog it. And if it happens to be useful to anybody else too, that’s great!

Heavenly Father,

Great shepherd of us all,

I put this time of transition into your hands.

Would you be preparing the way so that I may follow in your footsteps.

In these challenging times, protect your flock

And make us ready for service and action in the next season.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
