So, for the first time in 76 weeks, I am a day late for my Weekly Check-in!
But as it was Christmas Day yesterday, I figured it could wait 24 hours or so.
This week is getting: 6.5/10. It’s Christmas, which is lovely. The three services went far better than I expected, which was fab. I managed to get everything done, which was spectacular. But Brexit/Covid/Tier systems/not seeing family/utter exhaustion put a bit on a dampener on things. In some moments I was overcome with joy, in others, I was just so run down and dreary. I’m sure I’m not alone in having mixed feeling over the past week or so!
Anyway, my Little Win was on 23rd when I received a phone call and an email asking if two extra groups of people, a two and a three, could attend the Communion service on Christmas Eve. All of these people were new to me, and I was delighted! I don’t know if it’s the hand-drawn poster outside church, the Facebook adverts, the new Instagram account or the hours spent working on the A Church Near You website, but whatever it is, it’s working!
More next week, when we’ll have had a quieter few days. Hopefully I will have caught up on some admin and tidied my study!
