Ministry Mum Monday 52

52 weeks, one whole year of blogs about Ministry Mum life!

So how many were actually posted on a Monday? I’m not sure, but it wasn’t as many as the previous Two Tuesday blog series from maternity leave, which probably tells you all you need to know!

This week we’ve come to the end of the holidays, with a brilliant weekend at Greenbelt as the finale! It’s been good to have a bit of headspace, even if pushing the pram through all that mud was hard work in another way!

Sophia has loved festival life. When most people were running for shelter as the heavens opened, she said ‘ooh good, rain! Can I go out and splash in my welly boots?!’

Aidan is saying more words all the time. This week we’ve had poo, boo boo, tee (key), buller (butter) and Adin (Aidan).

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since I went back to work, a year of the almighty juggle that is ministry Mum life! I’m so grateful for the support. For S&A’s Grandparents and great grandparents who chip in. For the school, nursery, after school club and Tappy Toes staff who make our weeks so full of fun and learning. For the Rainbows and Little Saints and Breastfeeding Support volunteers who give of their own time to enrich the lives of our children. I’m grateful to Nathan, my co-pilot, our chef, oo-oo monkey and cheif entertainer.

More than anything, I’m grateful to team ASSF. Their patience, understanding and graciousness with their somewhat chaotic and busy vicar who is often shaking off crumbs or pausing mid sentence to attend to one small human or another, knows no bounds.

I’ve thought about what to do with Ministry Mum next. I could stop but… I like it, and I think other people do too! So please join us next week for an updated Ministry Mum blog as we enter into the second year of this exhausting and exhilarating season of our lives.

Coming up: Aidan is 2!

More next time x
