Weekly Check-in 122

November 20, 2022 revpoppy1 Comment

Hello and happy Sunday! And welcome back to the weekly check-in, I know it's been a while. I've found myself somewhat blocked over recent months. But as I started my new church this week I thought I'd take the chance to do a bit of writing! So, a new job, a new start! It's been [...]

I don't think anything could have prepared me for the last seven days. I've read a lot about what would happen when the Queen died. I've watched interviews with people predicting the impact this would have upon our nation, upon the world. But experiencing it has been something else entirely. Don't get me wrong, I [...]

Flash back to 1st January 2022 and Nathan and I were sat eating a Macdonalds with a sleeping Sophia in the backseat. I lifted my diet coke in the air as a toast. 'To 2022!' I said. 'To a year with no change!' said Nathan. 'Cheers to that!' I agreed. Since we arrived in Liverpool [...]

Good evening and happy Friday! Sorry for not checking in last week. The bank holiday really threw me in terms of what day it was and before I knew it, it was Sunday morning and I hadn't blogged! Anyway, I'm here now to catch you up on all that's been going on. Some highlights: The [...]

It's been a bit of a mad few months what with one thing or another, but @naythorpe is just wonderful. He's strong, faithful and caring, and a great husband, Dad, vicar and priest. He's my favourite 🌟
When we were on holiday we visited St David's Cathedral and I was very struck by this statue of Mary and Jesus. I love how he snuggles into her and that look on her face which to me says fulfillment, tiredness and strength all at once.
❄️
Mine and @naythorpe's first joint project! These will be sent off to our Goddaughter in the next week or so. Nathan did the scarf and the mittens are my knit number 13.
How long until she actually starts doing laundry?!
Another knit that went off over Christmas! I accidentally bought the wrong kind of wool for what I needed so I decided to make a face cloth instead. Knit number 12.
