So that bank holiday really throws you off, huh? Happy Tuesday!
This week: prayer meeting (which was particularly life giving and supportive), time in the Hub, meetings with colleagues, deanery standing committee meeting, building project meeting, admin, Tappy Toes, funeral visits, the confirmstion of the lovely Maisie, inspired podcast session, blessing of the new bees, Sunday service and a trip to Angelsey!
Ministry life: has, of course, got some wonderful bits. But usually when things get tricky, I stop blogging so much because I don’t want to sound like a moaner. But I’m going to say it: after a period of growth, grace and deepening faith since Christmas, some things are tricky at the moment. Coincidence? I think not.
Mum life: is really special. With warmer days and sunnier evenings, we’re stealing a few precious moments in the garden together most evenings.
Sophia: four plus four hequals eight!
And
Me: look at that aeroplane in the sunset! It looks more like a rocket.
Sophia: it’s not a rocket. Rockets have fire coming out of them, aeroplanes have air. That’s an aeroplane.
Me: it’s clever that you know that! How do you know that?
Sophia: God told me in my heart.
Me: wow! What else does God tell you?
Sophia: I don’t know.
I was left puzzling that one over for a good ten minutes of our journey home yesterday!
Aidan: has cut 2 more teeth, taking us to 14, That’s 70% of the way through!
He’s also saying ‘dang-oo’.
I said ‘I’m just sorting your socks for you, Aidan’
Aidan: ‘dang-oo, dang-oo’
Me: ‘are you saying thank you?!’
Aidan, very excitedly: dang-oo!
It absolutely melted my heart!
Our day off: we all went to Flip Out, which is basically a warehouse full of trampolines, and then Sophia and I went to a craft fair.
I am particularly grateful for: seeing my family in a sunny Cemaes Bay, and both of our wonderful lay readers who are such a wonderful support to me.
Coming up: a big birthday!
