There are no words to say
How little justice has been served today.
Prison, jail, locked up ’till they die.
TV, food, comfort, all just fine.
What does compare, what could ever?
A brick coming down on a single white feather.
Beating, forcing – even ending – could never compare
To the fear known by the baby in their care.
Elsie, Alice, Bebe and now baby Preston too
Taken too cruelly, taken too soon.
They should have been safe, at home or at dance
But instead they saw monsters taking their chance.
When will we learn? When will it end?
Who can we trust? Who is foe or friend?
Twisted and sick, sin upon sin.
The world should have been safe for them to live in.
