Ministry Mum Monday 49

Hello! Happy Tuesday (again).

No bad sleep excuses this time, it’s the the summer holidays and things are a little blurry.

This week life has been mixed. There have been some lovely bits, there have been some very sad bits, and there has been a bit of people not doing what I ask them to. You’d think that I would be used to this, living with S&A, but clearly not.

Anyway, this week has involved: supervisions, the dentist (I need to have a tooth out, boo), meeting about the health and safety policy, Inspiration podcast session, a pastoral visit, Princess Yoga, to Cheshire Oaks to see Grandpa and buy the school shoes, Sunday worship, Open Table, church stay & play and a coffee with a friend.

On our day off, Nathan took Aidan to have his hair cut and he looks very smart. Thank goodness Nathan is on this now because I did the first four and I can take it no more. While they were out, I took Sophia to the library. We went for cake afterwards and on the way back to the car she asked to go into the library again!

Ministry: it’s been a week of highs and lows. There have been such answers to prayer because two people I have been praying for have made big improvements in their health. I have also been walking with members of two families as they prepare to say goodbye to people they love, one very young and one not so.

Mum life continues to be a sunny blur. I took a day back and had a great time with Sophia and Aidan. One special moment was singing all together in the car on the way home. There’s a bit in Some Things Never Change from Frozen 2 where there’s a long, tuneful ‘aaaahhhhh’, which Aidan now joins in with as well!

Sophia has now got long enough arms to hug me around my waist and her fingers touch! It’s very lovely but she suddenly seems very big.

Aidan can now say ‘doose’ juice, ‘sare’ share and ‘ate’ eat when putting wooden food from the play kitchen into your mouth! It’s all on a theme this week, you’ll notice.

This week I am especially grateful for insightful and helpful comments from wise clergy.

Coming up: August birthdays.
