Weekly Check-in (72)

November 27, 2020 revpoppyLeave a comment

Afternoon! This week is getting 7/10. It's been one of those weeks which seems to disappear quickly, where there was so much to be done but very little has been achieved! Saturday was a lovely, chilled day off (I do love how many of those we get in lockdown!) and on Sunday morning I was [...]

This week is getting 6/10. Sunday was fab. We decided to do a joint service across the three local churches which goes live instead of being recorded in advance. Thankfully, Tom and Helen at Christ Church have all the super smart gear to make this happen! Even through the cabin was empty apart from the [...]

Happy Friday 13th! I am going to rate this week 6/10. Lots of things have happened: online worship, deliveries for Food Pantry, a coffee with the Triple C team, Foodbank, a funeral visit over the phone, catch ups, a meeting about Christmas, lots of writing and a fair bit of admin. What a week! Lockdown 2, the US election and goodness knows what else! There's been a lot going on. Personally, I'm giving this week 5.5/10. We had a very chilled Saturday. Like most of the country, we spent a lot of the afternoon waiting for the lockdown press conference to happen. I was less than [...]

It's been a bit of a mad few months what with one thing or another, but @naythorpe is just wonderful. He's strong, faithful and caring, and a great husband, Dad, vicar and priest. He's my favourite 🌟
When we were on holiday we visited St David's Cathedral and I was very struck by this statue of Mary and Jesus. I love how he snuggles into her and that look on her face which to me says fulfillment, tiredness and strength all at once.
❄️
Mine and @naythorpe's first joint project! These will be sent off to our Goddaughter in the next week or so. Nathan did the scarf and the mittens are my knit number 13.
How long until she actually starts doing laundry?!
Another knit that went off over Christmas! I accidentally bought the wrong kind of wool for what I needed so I decided to make a face cloth instead. Knit number 12.
