Thank you, Formby and Altcar

November 10, 2020November 10, 2020 revpoppy2 Comments

In the many hours I spent unable to do very much when I had Covid, I got a lot of time to think and reflect. Lockdown meant that I went from curate to incumbent very quickly without being able to say goodbye properly. Thoughts about my time as a curate had been springing up for [...]

Weekly Check-in (30)

January 31, 2020January 31, 2020 revpoppy2 Comments

Happy, bitter-sweet, pleased that this month is nearly over but let's try not to think about what's happening at 11pm, Friday 31st January! This week is getting 7/10. On Saturday we saw our friends Josh and Ash and our Goddaughter. We had Mcdonald's and watched Inside Out. It was a lovely day off! I celebrated [...]

Hey everyone!I'm blogging from Retford today, hence the photo of Bingley at the top! This week gets a score of 8.5/10. It's been a good week. On Saturday, Nathan and I had a chilled day off before going to a Christian Aid ceilidh in the evening. In the end, much to my dismay, we left [...]

Weekly Check-in (25)

It's been a bit of a mad few months what with one thing or another, but @naythorpe is just wonderful. He's strong, faithful and caring, and a great husband, Dad, vicar and priest. He's my favourite 🌟
When we were on holiday we visited St David's Cathedral and I was very struck by this statue of Mary and Jesus. I love how he snuggles into her and that look on her face which to me says fulfillment, tiredness and strength all at once.
❄️
Mine and @naythorpe's first joint project! These will be sent off to our Goddaughter in the next week or so. Nathan did the scarf and the mittens are my knit number 13.
How long until she actually starts doing laundry?!
Another knit that went off over Christmas! I accidentally bought the wrong kind of wool for what I needed so I decided to make a face cloth instead. Knit number 12.
