Weekly Check-in (68)

October 30, 2020December 26, 2022 revpoppyLeave a comment

Happy Friday! I am rating this week 7/10. Things are much better in Chez Thorpe. Nathan hasn't had a temperature for days and his cough has almost gone. He got out of isolation yesterday and I will be allowed out on Sunday, just in time for church this week! We are still being careful with [...]

Hooray for Friday and hello from Covid Central! Anybody who read my update on Monday will know that Nathan has also tested positive for Covid, despite our best efforts to isolate from each other last week. So although I am feeling much better, Nathan is definitely not right. He's had a temperature most days and [...]

COVID-19 (an update)

October 19, 2020October 19, 2020 revpoppy2 Comments

The Covid saga continues! After getting a temperature and a cough, Nathan tested positive with coronavirus today. He called 119 yesterday morning and went for a test at lunchtime. Last night he was really hot (in his words, 'no different to normal!') and shivering. The result came in today so even after we tried to [...]

It's been a bit of a mad few months what with one thing or another, but @naythorpe is just wonderful. He's strong, faithful and caring, and a great husband, Dad, vicar and priest. He's my favourite 🌟
When we were on holiday we visited St David's Cathedral and I was very struck by this statue of Mary and Jesus. I love how he snuggles into her and that look on her face which to me says fulfillment, tiredness and strength all at once.
❄️
Mine and @naythorpe's first joint project! These will be sent off to our Goddaughter in the next week or so. Nathan did the scarf and the mittens are my knit number 13.
How long until she actually starts doing laundry?!
Another knit that went off over Christmas! I accidentally bought the wrong kind of wool for what I needed so I decided to make a face cloth instead. Knit number 12.
